Objective:

To create, update, and maintain high quality applications, by mainly utilizing HTML, CSS and JavaScript to develop interactive assets that are utilized within courseware material.

An experienced JavaScript developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. Will work with other developers to build both client-side and server-side logic. Will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions. 

The Position/Job Description:

  • Develop new user-facing features

  • Build domain-specific (Math, Physics, Accounting, etc.) reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

  • Target Desktop, Mobile, and Tablet devices

  • Apply industry best-practices with regards to interoperability, maintenance, and resource utilization

  • Work with server administrator to monitor website performance, watch for traffic drops related to site usability problems and rectify issues when necessary

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a framework for interfacing all web-based components on the platform of choice for courseware development

  • Identify web-based plugins (simulators, calculators, graphing tools, etc.) that are programmable, interactive, and can be utilized in educational contexts

Requirements:

  • Preference for Computer Science majors
  • Demonstrated ability in JavaScript programming, JavaScript frameworks, and rich interactivity
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in programming and a minimum of 3 years of experience in JavaScript Development
  • Experience in developing interactive web-components

Objective:

Support the CEO in creation, development operation of the Academy

The Position/Job Description:

  • Contribute to the development of the Academy’s goals and objectives
  • Contribute to the development of programs budgets and the preparation of reports (periodic/annual) to highlight the program utilization of assigned budgets pertaining to Program 2
  • Work closely with the internal stakeholders to identify initiatives to improve the efficiency/reduce costs incurred by projects
  • Assist the program manager in collaborating with the communications & increase the engagement levels of external stakeholders
  • Assist in Developing/setting the methodology, tools and templates for the successful execution of The Academy’s products, and provide the required support and guidance to the users
  • Conduct timely audits to ensure the Academy’s program development and milestones are on target
  • Ensure effective governance over PM methodology and PM processes
  • Identify and analyze areas of improvement and recommend to direct manager
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure project is kept to expected time frame
  • Work closely with potential clients and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience within the corporate environment, preferably in working with governmental and NGO
  • Minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Graduate qualification in the fields of business or project management

Objective:

Oversee all IT related functions in the academy. The candidate will be in charge of IT team and manages the academy's technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies.

The Position/Job Description:

  • Ensure the adequate maintenance of all IT equipment and infrastructure.
  • Analyze and implements the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management.
  • Control budget and report on expenditure.
  • Guide IT staff in executing their respective responsibilities.
  • Participate in the identification of training and development initiatives for all employees within the Unit.

Requirements:

  • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as IT manager or similar role.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
  • Sound understanding of e-Learning management system, computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
  • Experience in controlling information technology budget.

Objective:

The primary role of course development specialist is to assist the project team in creating, developing and executing KFAS Academy Arab Digital School courses.

The Position/Job Description:

  • Ensure continuous knowledge and understanding of the online training industry to ensure up to date techniques are being used to enhance quality and customer experience
  • Guide the development of ADS courses within the The Academy’s IDL framework, to meet the ADS project objectives
  • Liaise with The Academy’s ADS project team to understand the course requirements
  • In charge of the storyboard design and develop process to agree on set objectives and given job scope
  • Manage and collect input from subject matter experts and content providers for successful course creation
  • Responsible for end-product (courses), including matching the learning objectives to the storyboards while working within the given budget
  • Work within deadlines to meet projected course launches
  • Work with team members to ensure successful implementation of final course
  • Follow up to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and sustained interest

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in field related to education or eLearning and Instructional design
  • Any other Bachelor’s degree with demonstrable experience
  • Lesson planning and teaching specifically K-12
  • 2-5 years instructional design experience
  • Excellent written and oral command of Arabic (Must)
  • Excellent command of English

Objective:

The system admin will manage the Academy's AWS account.   The System Administrator will ensure the system’s high availability and maintain program Service Level Agreements (SLA’s). The candidate will collaborate closely with developers and other technology personnel to develop, migrate and manage services in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment, and in physical data centers.

The candidate will also serve as backend developer who is proficient in latest backend technologies. The candidate will maintain current systems and will be involved in all aspects of the design and implementation of our unique eLearning systems. 

The Position/Job Description:

  1. Identify potential scaling issues and help define how to monitor and fix them.
  2. Linux administration and shell scripting.
  3. Learn and implement new technologies or build them independently.
  4. Deliver continuous improvement of recipes, scripts and templates for reproducible deployments.
  5. Monitor and maintain multiple public-facing web applications.
  6. Manage development repositories, build automation and application deployment activities.
  7. Development of a cloud-based eLearning platform
  8. Development with a focus on user experience and usability
  9. Supporting the implementation of new client instances

Objective:

Support the IDL team to create and develop interactive, high quality courses through several different mediums including, but not limited, to

complex graphics, animation and live video content for a diverse array of media, including smartphones, handheld electronic devices, and the web, projects can include title and post-production work, as well as multimedia campaigns, promotion products, technical illustrations and computer artwork for use in a variety of materials.

The Position/Job Description:

  • Support objectives and growth of the KFAS Academy
  • Ensure continuous understanding of animation industries changes and developments
  • Develop and maintain understanding of training industry to ensure up to date techniques are being used to enhance customer experience
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines, deadlines and design standards
  • Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organization of graphic files
  • Work with IDL department to develop product portfolio of KFAS solutions to help meet KFAS Academy’s objectives
  • Liaise with KFAS internal teams to understand their animation and creative requirements
  • Prepare design plan, concept and layout for animation projects
  • Be proficient in adobe creative suite, and a 3d package such as (cinema4d, Maya or 3ds max)
  • Be part of the storyboard design and develop process to agree on set objectives and given job scope
  • Research and develop knowledge to provide sound input on using the best type of medium for the particular course
  • Develop and create animation videos/mediums based on agreed storyboards using appropriate techniques to suit the set objective and course setting
  • Work within deadlines to meet projected course launches
  • Work with internal departments to ensure successful implementation of developed animation videos/images
  • Follow up to ensure client satisfaction and sustained interest
  • Assist in selecting audio, video, colors, animation, etc. for graphic design

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in field related to Graphic design, Fine arts, Motion Graphics
  • Involved in design and artistic projects
  • Experience in academics preferred
  • Worked in a professional environment

  • 3d package knowledge is a plus

Objective:

To implement activities and initiatives aimed at developing business innovation capabilities in the private sector through generating and disseminating business knowledge and identifying needs of shareholding companies for development and growth using Science Technology and Innovation (STI).

The Position/Job Description:

  • Support the program manager in studying and understanding the private sector landscape in Kuwait and identifying areas for improvements as well as finding effective mechanisms to bridge the gap between the current state and the desired outcomes
  • Identify information and publications that would be useful to shareholder companies and create mechanisms to disseminate such information accordingly
  • Facilitate and develop partnerships with institutions with whom KFAS can form mutually beneficial relationships to drive the Enterprise Knowledge Enhancement agenda
  • Support in maintaining and improving relations with shareholder companies in order to identify and develop means to address their concerns and needs within the scope of KFAS strategic objectives
  • Support in networking activities for the relevant internal and external stakeholders in Kuwait in order to discuss issues faced with regards to enterprise knowledge and identify needs that will support the enhancement of Enterprise Knowledge across the State of Kuwait

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related fields
  • 8-10 years experience within the corporate environment
  • Experience in a research institution of a similar size and nature is desirable
